Don Burgher,
President
 / Owner


Don Burgher founded Florida Insurance Brokers in 1981 after attending the University of Kentucky, and brings over 25 years of plan design and health insurance concepts to his Agency. Based on the principles of integrity, honesty and commitment he has built a company dedicated to providing Employee Health Benefits. Mr. Burgher also serves as a key Board Member and the Vice Chairperson on the Pasco Hernando Workforce Board, and is an active member of the Nature Coast Human Resources Society and the Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce.

Richard Mackiewicz,
Group Sales Consultant


Richard Mackiewicz is a Group Sales Consultant with more than 17 years of experience in designing and implementing value-added employee benefits programs. As a Valdosta State University graduate, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. In addition to work, Mr. Mackiewicz enjoys time with his wife and three children. He serves his community as a volunteer for the YMCA and Hernando Athletic Association.

Carla Looper,
Group Sales Consultant


Carla Looper is a Group Sales Consultant with over 10 years of experience in local government and human resources. She currently is the President of the Nature Coast Human Resources Society, Chairperson of the Business Assistance Committee, Chairperson for the Hernando County Cancer Society, and Chairperson for the local Kiwanis Club. Mrs. Looper is a devoted humanitarian who strives to give back to her community.

Joan Tucker,
Key Accounts Manager


Joan Tucker is our Key Accounts Manager. Joan is a graduate of Florida Metropolitan University with a degree in computer science.  She brings over 20 years of experience in customer service and business administration to our agency.

Alicia Easton,
Key Account Rate Analyst


Alicia Easton is responsible for strategic renewal planning for existing accounts. She evaluates renewal benefits for employers annually; gathers appropriate data required for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and works closely with the agent and carriers during the negotiation process to get the best plan and rates possible for the clients. Alicia's responsibility is to showcase our clients to the carriers in a manner that results in the lowest possible premium. She has worked in various industries such as real estate, hospitality, retail and insurance. Alicia also devotes a lot of time to charity events and spending time raising her 3 year old daughter Michaela. Alicia is certainly dedicated to her community and very service oriented to many causes near and dear to her heart.
